Hi guys...just completed this Z06 last month (highly recommend!). Color is Italian red. I painted the wheels silver leaf (tamiya) instead of chrome. So I hope you like it and....built it:cya: !!!!!

Very nice work, good color and the body looks like it fit well. I am going to make a photo booth like that, it makes everything come together!

That paint job is spectacular. Very clean build and also I think the glass really looks like glass which goes to making this car look like the real thing.

 .....you will be surprised but I'm not used any clear.....the secret is just a little of patience....after the last wet coat ( after 24 hrs) I use a polish kit. I begin with 6000 to 12000 sandpaper. After I use the polishing compound (fine) from Tamiya and the (finish) compound finally. On last step I apply the modeling wax from Tamiya. As you see on my models the finish is nice...without clear!!!!

Very true. I try not to use clear as often as possible myself. I tend to polish the single colour too. Only time I ever use clear is to seal a metallic paint, or if it's specifically a base/clear system.

I had to adjust my eyes to the fact that it was a model in the first picture. Red is probably my favorite color on the Z06.
