nonez will fitz behindz the seatz homez.

Putting subs behind the seats in either a MK1 or MK2 MR2 is not recomended. Theres is some room in the MK2, but theres no room to box them properly and its impossible in the MK1.
The space in the MK2 is better used for some components.
An 8 inch will however fit in a proper box in the frount of the passanger foot well of each car, and if you really want to make an MR2 make lots of noise then use the boot space in the frount.

I have 2 10 inch JL Audio subwoofers in my MKII MR2. It required a custom box though. The size of the box means that you can't move the seat back as far, so I wouldn't recommend doing it if you're tall, it's okay for me though.

You're not meant to let the seat touch the box, but if you're not very tall that won't be a problem. My seat doesn't hit the box. The sound quality is awesome. Gen III 3S-GTE's are quite expensive compared to the earlier generations, because they are a fair bit better and more sought after. I didn't even know that I had one in my J-SPEC MR2 until I blew the CT20B.

Are you calling my a dumbarse?
Its possible, but they will sound like shit if you want to play any real music through them.
Subs of that size should be properly boxed and for that there is no room.
Also as was mentioned above if you want the push the seat back incase your on the tall side you will hit the sub, which again is bad for sound quality.
If however your level of evolution is so low that your only able to acknowledge low bass hits delivered directly to your inner ear via your your skeloten then its perfect.

I HAD two 12 inch fusion subs in my Gen II but when I sold it I took them out and won't be putting them in the Gen III...Im enjoying ALL the room I have now. Mine were in perfect boxes but I lost a bit of room..had to go foward a bit and sit more straight up....still went REAL hard...so loud it hurt my throat!! I have just scored 2 10" pioneer subs so Im gonna sell my 12"s.
Cheers
