keyless entry remote???

my keyless entry remote doesnt really work anymore...i have tried putting in new batteries several times now....and nothing has worked, i can stand right next to my car and it wont lock or unlock my doors.....but if i push on the buttons hard enuff they might lock or unlock, but most of the time i have to push hard and several times.....if someone could help me to finding the problem i would appreciate it!

Try taking it apart and cleaning the contact points on the circuit board where the buttons touch with a pencil eraser or cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol.
