Help me!

Alright, so I bought a POS 97 Talon ESI for $600 a few months ago and am going to use it for a winter car and after that I was going to part it out. The engine and transmission work well, but the body is rusty in quite a few spots. It's an automatic with 136k-137k miles on it. However, I just got an offer to sell it for $800 to a guy I know who got his car totalled today. What should I do?!

Should I take the offer, part it out, or attempt to fix it up. The frame is a bit bent..

Just looking for opinions on what to do, not what would be best for me. Such as how much I could possibly make by parting it out. Some help on that would be nice, such as how much tranny+engine would go for and what-not. You know, some advice..

it's an ESI so it's FWD 420a.

Honestly, if it's in as bad shape as you say, or if it's in pretty bad ashape at all i would probably dump it. Odds are it won't be worth your time to fix it up, as the car mint condition is worth only about 2k.

I for sure wouldnt part it, you would never get $800 for ESI parts, I seriously doubt it anyway. Gotta look at it in terms of your Camaro (or whatever the fuck that is in your sig :p) though too. Does it get really snowy in the winter where you are? Is the body/paint nice on the Camaro? If it gets pretty snowy where you are, I wouldnt get rid of the ESI. Is that $800 worth possibly wrecking the Camaro or having salt rust it up? I would keep it and keep the Camaro in a garage and/or under a car cover for the winter.

Sell it. You won't make much on parts since anything body related won't be any good, the engine/tranny have way too many miles for somebody to want and/or pay anything for. Plus, your making money anyway.

I would sell it if, I were you. To me, it would not be worth investing in that thing, especially with a bent frame...with all the money you were to put into restoring it, you could find a nice 420 with some nice basic extras, like rims, an intake, etc in the market. Sell it!
