engine work question...

So if by some random chance I wanted to turn my car into a slightly-lesser version of Xero's car (aka building the engine up), how much time would I need to invest? This includes new cams, chromemolly pushrods, pistons, etc etc...

I'm assuming it would cost a ridiculous amount of money for a shop to do it as well...

Well Vipey just to do the intake job is like an 10-12 hr job.
So to dismantel the engine and replace all that stuff is ungodly amounts of time.

I have spent between $6-7K on parts/Mods, I'd hate to see what labor would have costed if I hadnt done the work myself.
:dunno: Maybe 600-800 hrs :yikes:

No motor biuld are cheap, and you get what you pay for.

Parts are cheaper today then when I was building mine up.

I still need the bottom half done, but this requires the engine to be removed.
So, this now brings me into a predicament... :banghead:

So I'm thinking of swapping drivetrains with the GT and making it the SSssssssss's :p

The crank/pistons/bearings will probly run me around $2k, depending on whether I bore it out or not :sly:

3.4s are known for piston slap, which is the wear of the top of the cylinder walls , on start up.
I'll probly bore it out tooo :D
Then the heads will need reworked to match the piston bore.
Not sure how big I can go though, 3.6-3.8L :naughty:

And With a Tuuuuuurrrrrrrrbooo,
this will be fun :grinyes: :grinyes:

Well till the trany get schreaded :sunglasse
