light grinding noise when started?

ive been hearing a slight grinding noise right after i start my ride. i have a new adkins streetported engine, not sure if its the starter(happens about 1 second after started, when it hits like 2500 rpms). goes away immediately, and runs fine..

the starter only turns when you turn the key.

describe it further.

its right after first start of the day, not when the key is turned. the rpms jump to like 2500 and it belches a squealing noise. it actually did it twice yesterday when i hit the gas. maybe aalternator, bearing? i dont think its my rotors(at least i hope with that new rebuild from atkins....) almost sounds like a belt squeal but a little ruffer.. sorry for bad explanation..

sounds like the alternator belt to me

could be, i replaced it a month ago with an aftermarket that was real noisy. then got a mazda belt and it was fine for a while, now this noise came outta nowhere.....

I agree. Turbo timed everytime? If not get one imo.

i had a turbo timer, but we thought it was messin my car up due to a bad install. it wasnt the timer, but i just never got another one...

id have to go with him and say its the belt....
