HELP!!2001 sportage HELP!!!

Can anyone please describe where I would find the Fuel FILTER in my 2001 KIA SPORTAGE?!

There is one by the battery and a sock filter in the tank that never causes any problems. IN fact....what is the problem you"re trying to correct...or is this just preventive maintenance?
I suggest the thread could have been titled "where is the fuel filter"....which is easier to retreive when doing a search....

Well I was driving and then it just stopped. So I pulled to the side and tried to turn it back on but the engine would not turn over. It's as if there is no gas going through.. and I could smell gas...

OK....what is the mileage on the engine? THis looks a lot like the timing belt syndrome at 70,000 miles...a classic.

Well im not exactly sure what its got now... over 75,000...
someone took a look at it and says its the timing belt... that it snapped.. broke... whatever.
Let's just hope he knows how to fix it...
How long of a job do you think it is??
