4WD No operate

On my 2000 Silverado 1500 4X4, when I recently tried to use 4WD in a mud situatuion it would not engage. The lights would just blink selecting any 4WD or neutral switches, but it would go back to 2WD & lock. Not knowing where to start, I took it to the dealer. After 2 hours @ $95/per they told me it was missing a ground to the front axle actuator switch motor. For an additional 1 hour they spliced in a new ground & it took care of the problem. Wow, $300 & change for a missing ground!

I later found out that the front axle actuator connector is always supplied battery on terminal C from the 4WD fuse & ground on terminal E from ground G110. Ground is applied to terminal B from the Trans Case Cntrl Mod to command the actuator to engage the front axle.

G110 is located on the back of the left front frame to body mount.I tried to find out why the ground was missing. The 2 lugs w/2 wires each bolted to the frame looked fairly clean, but I removed, cleaned & rebolted anyway. Still no ground to terminal E black wire. That's where I am now. Hope this info can help somebody.

Hi all, new to the site and would like to throw out a problem I have. I have an 05 1500 CC 4wd. The truck will not shift into 4HI, but does 4LO and the panel will not identify which gear I'm in at all. When I start the truck, the neutral position l.e.d comes on red and then turns off. Any ideas?
