First attempt at water effect

Ok folks, this is my first try in working with the water effect in Adobe so be gentle.

I first tried it with this first pic of the company car, but it did not look right,

so I tried it with another pic (below) and I think i did better, but its still not exactly right. For one, the trees in the background are added as a layer and the fence was extended and although I tried to make it look real, it doesn't look right. I also can't get the star effect down to 2 instead of the three shown. At least the water effect came out right.

I'll try again, but any ideas on getting that fence/forest looking right?

BTW, using Adobe Photoshop 7, Sqirlz Water Reflections, and Xenoflex 2 Constellation effect.

woah, thats pretty sweet stuff. my suggestion for the fence would be to make it more verticle. It kinda looks like its leanning. but other than that it looks pretty darn good.

the fence is leaning, but it is leaning relative to the ground in the original picture too.

if you wanna make it more realistic in the second picture, you would have to shape the water line. i dont know if its possible, but if you added a curved waterline that followed the ground instead of being perfectly straight, and shaded the ground darker right before the water, it would look real.

also back the car away from the water some (or in this case, back the water away from the car)
