Hi all,
I spose I shouldn't post this yet cause I dont know the details, but I just kinda wanted to get an idea about $.. I was looking to get a K5 blazer that has a 3" lift on it. (I'm not sure if it's a body lift or suspension lift :screwy: ) Anyways, I was looking to bring it back to stock height, cause that's alls I need. (I know that prob. sounds dumb to some.) I was just wondering, on avg, how much it might cost to do that? The tires on it are 35's which I guess isnt much bigger than the stock ones, so maybe they would still clear?

A body lift would be fairly easy to remove yourself. A suspention lift would be a bit harder and if the rear was lifted using new leaf springs instead of lifting blocks then you will need to buy stock springs. I would guess around $350 labor if you paid someone.

pretty much what the guy abve said and no the 35s wont clear inless u do fender cutting, i think 33s will but if u want stock they are 31x10.50x15s, and i dont know ur mechanical situation or tools, but i have a basic set of ratchets and a good jack and i was able ot put on my suspension lift some what easly, leaf spring suspension is verry easy to work on, i put a new leaf on hte front of mine and blocks in the back as temp for now but all u have to do is jack it up then put somthin on ether frame or somthin sturdy and non axel as in ur goin to drop the axel, put jack under axel just enought that its touchin then take off the u bolts ( a friend or 2 might be good at helpin at this part) then slowly lower it tillthe axel is away from the springs as much as u need to remove ether block or leaf if its add a leaf, if its a whole spring pack then do the same but then just unbolt the whole leaf spring, only 2 bolts and remove then reverse process for the stock springs to install, rember to tighten those ubolts good and if u have a torque wrench maybe look up specs but i just cranked down on mine, then about 3-6 days after ur done go around and check them to make surethere still tight, then enjoy ur k5

I think 33s clear stock, and since you want to lower it i'm assuming you won't be testing the supension flex too much. If it is a body lift you will have to jack the body up and remove the spacers between the body and frame. If it is supension and there are no blocks in the rear I would honestly leave it on. The stock front springs on this truck kind of suck so as long as the lift was done right at first I wouldn't worry too much about it.
