Anyone have any pics of their bitchin Oldsmobile?

I don't think anyone on here would own an old 442. Not many people do.

I do. I have 1 69 Cutlass conv fully restored and 2 69 442's (1 Convertible and 1 hardtop) that need restoration work. Anyone interested in a good project? I have all the body panels .. just don't have the time.

My father's car is 1970 Olds 442 W-30 Convertible. I have to take some better pics of that this summer.

1984 Hurst/Olds 442 Special Edition here (1 of 39)

(yes, it is a 1984[late production, but 1984], and yes its a 442...wasn't a typo)

I can't find anywhere that says anything about a H/O 442, or anything that says there were ANY 442's produced in 1984. But i've run the vin and the 8th digit is a 9 (signifying a 442 package). The manual has 1 of 39 written in it. I just got the car last weekend, from my uncle who's had it in a garage for the last 10 years. I can't find crap about the car anywhere it seems like. Oh well, i'll keep trying and keep ya posted. No pics yet tho, just got it.

Color is black and gold. (the SE was created for NFL teams that year, mine is the saints car)

All stock except the 455 sitting under the hood.....which replaced the stock 307.

Ok.. I don't know who Purpura Delujo is but they obviously don't know real GM horse power. I own a 69 442. It is in the middle of a long drawn out restoration process but mechanically sound. I know plenty of people that would own them over any other model of Classic. Just had to get that off my chest. I feel better now.

Look asshole he didn't say no one would want to own a 4-4-2 he just simply said it would be a rare case on here for someone to own one. 4-4-2's are hard to come by on the road which is why I asked in the first place over a year ago.

Great topic: I own a 1967 Olds 442 Convertable Non-A/C Car, 400 Big Block, 5spd Manual, & 3.91 Posi rear end, a 1969 Hurst Olds (YES Hurst/OLDS) Non-A/C car, 455, Hurst Automatic trans, and 3.91 Posi Rear end. I also own a 1992 Olds Achieva SCX, and a 1995 Olds LSS with all the options....

i own a 69 442 w-30 (if you don't know what that is your not a real olds fan). its completely original except it has some some new paint because of an accident. I am in the middle of building up a 455 bored .30 over. i would post pix but i don't know how.

to soccermafia: Have you started the buildup yet? If not I have the perfect engine for you! I have an extra '67 400 BIG Block -- as much power as a 455 with higher RPM capability, "C" heads and all. My '67 can kick the shit out of my '69, and their both stock under 90,000 miles each!

Nice car, thats one of my favorite years, still stightly boxy, butnice flowing lines as well. I've always wanted a 442 since I was about 10 years old, I just can't find too many in restorable condition, damn these PA winters

Thanks! The '67 was actually purchased in PA (Scranton). I live right on the PA border, near the Delaware river.

And yes, the winters in this part of the world are lousy...

I just bought a great 1969 Olds 442 with the 455 engine and AT. Are your 442's automatic or manual? Do you have any photos?

dead as this thread is,,,, I hav 3 soon to be 4 76' 442's. Automatic, swivle buckets, 2 350 Olds long bl and the one I drive in the summer has a 455 and is white in and out. Mostly stock. A project not yet started though, Hoping out of 4, I can restore 2, hoping, as we all know about the 76' steal it wasnt the best.

i have just the 442 engine..lying in my dads backyard.. >_< along with a bunch of other engines..random car parts...etc etc etc. i dont know whatever happened to the sheetmetal on that car.
