Hello. My 92 Tercel didn't was having trouble changing gears about 2 weeks. I checked the clutch fluid, it was a little low but nothing serious, added to the full line. Everything was fine for about a week, 3rd and 5th gear started popping out. Then on a drive during stop and go traffic for about 1-1/2 hours I could hear this metal on metal grinding sound which would stop when I engaged the clutch and start again when the clutch was released. I was able to make it home, but now I go to get in to see what is going on and I press the clutch pedal, start the car, put it in reverse, and nothing happens. The car just wobbles back and forth, but doesn't really go anywhere. This happens on all gears not just REV. I can almost take my foot of the clutch with care in gear and it doesn't turn off. I had the clutch changed in Jan/2005, but didn't really drive it until Aug/2006. It was just sitting for about 1-1/2 years. I was out of the country during that time.
Please help!!!!! I don't know if it is the transmission or clutch. I really need some guidance on this.
Thanks.

Sounds like clutch failure.
