Installing an accessory that requires a hot switched wire. One that goes on with the ignition. I just can't find one. I tried one of those fuse extensions on my daytime driving lights and the lights did not work any more. Had to take it off. Any help would be approecated.:banghead:

If you already have a fuse extension (like http://www.gizmos-gadgets.com/index.php/cPath/7_15?osCsid=0e49bbc1e359157ab5c2b71a903617d8) then hook into the accessory fuse.

Mini fuse extender worked for me. Maybe you bought a bad one?

along the same lines, is there a place in the firewall to get wires from the inside to the engine compartment easy? I want to add a big rig air horn, and additional driving lights. I don;t want to drill a hole if I don;t have to. Ideas?

There is a fuse box under the hood. You should be able to use a fuse extender, or run a fused line off the power coming from the fuse box.

There should be a gromet with wire going thru already in the firewall near the drivers feet. You can easily run a wire for a switch thru this gromet.
