i have a 97 gtp w/ 160k......this car is going haywire!
right after i bought it, i had to replace the head gaskets, so obviously we replaced every one in between as well. since then i've had a vacuum leak that NOBODY has been able to locate. recently it's been throwing codes left and right, we replaced the supercharger gasket, vacuum lines, O2 sensor, throttle body position sensor, throttle body gasket (for a coolant leak, and apparently that didnt take care of it b/c its still leaking) plugs and wires, egr valve, everything that had given a code for has been replaced and it seems like there's always something else.......now it seems the fuel injectors are leaking and two nights ago it said cylinder 6 was misfiring but when tested it had spark, took it back to autozone and it said cylinder 2 now! it also came up w/ something weird, i dont remember what it was called but the code said P1200. supposedly the CAT needs to be replaced to and havent gotten to that yet........
now that that's all out there, i found a motor w/ 21k for only about $1000! 6mo warranty on block, heads and all internals........now does this seem too good to be true????? it seems pretty cheap to me, the problem is, it is out of state so i will have it shipped to me, but is there anything i should look for/ask them in the meantime to make sure im not gonna end up w/ another junker!
any advice would be greatly appreciated, ive completely run out of ideas/options!

How did you determine you have a vacuum leak? Have you run an automotive vacuum test on it? If so, what was the reading?
DTC P1200 is an Injector Control Circuit problem. Sounds like you have one or more bad fuel injectors. Also, it could be the injector wiring/harness or a PCM module problem. With your mileage I would check into replacing all 6 fuel injectors to include the o-ring seals before deciding you need a new engine. You can run a noid light test on each injector and ohm each injector coil out.
BTW - ZZP has the 33/36# L67 fuel injectors for a decent price.
