Radio shack sells a 12volt T1 bulb that will work but the acuall bulb is a T 1.75
The bulb has to be soldered in and out with a low wattage (30 or less) soldering iron
http://www.servicelighting.com/catalog_product.cfm?prod=EK40910 these bulbs are for around the temp control nobs not all the buttons.
Take the dash apart remove the unit. You will need a T10 torx socket or screw driver to take the unit apart pull the nobs off and unscrew the nuts with a pair of needle nose pliers and everything else is clipped to together.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like a job that might have to wait until it warms up a little. can not be without heat.
