OK i got this car knowing it had issues, for starters the starter was bad, no problem, she said the tps had been replaced but it was still throwing a code,
i have checked the wires the white has 5v, blue varies, black is ground, so im at a stand still with multiple issues,

Car starts fine, runs good, but the heater controls only work half the time, and rarely the lights in the heater/ac control head work and it does too!

But it rarely works

2. the temperature light flashes on and off rapidly,

when this happens the engine surges from high to low rpms till the engine dies

once it does it is hard to restart

ive replaced the temp sensor and it still does it

also pry not related but driving me nuts, the left blinker flashes extreamly slow
and not at all when the head lights r on, the bulbs are all good and all seems fine when the flasers are used

only code thrown is tps to high and too low

any help would be appreciated!!!

I probably am off but I'd start checking the battery and the connectors at the battery. Check for corrosion between the two positive cables and down into the cables. Check the ground cable on both ends and where it goes to other places if you have the additional little ground cables.

Several people have had trouble with ground connections inside the cars. There's one next to the emergency brake in the bundles beside it. There is a ground connector next tothe driver's seat between it and the sill under the carpet and same on the passenger side. These can corrode and then the connectors make and break connections. One person used the kick test with impact and vibration and found the connection made again and his car started running right until the next even. I believe that was next to the emergency brake.

I had a 93 with air conditioning control and power door locks would both act funny-air conditioning went to AC and locks didn't work. I never managed to trace down the ground connections that was probably at fault before my wife made me trade the car for a newer one for her.

Sounds like your blower motor is going bad.

I would first replace the flasher itself which is under the dash almost against the wall of the driver's side but toward's the interior wall of the dash (closest to the driver). Buy a new one and you'll know what to look for. It is not easy to get out but can be done lying on your back with a long screwdriver to pry it out of it's holder and a flashlight. Once you replace it, do not try to put it back in it's holder. Just let it hang free or wrap it around some other wires in the area.

You must figure out the TPS problem as well. Go to alldata.com and sign up, then run the diagnostic for the TPS and see what the problem is.
