Having trouble, please help. I have a 97 Pontiac Grand Prix that had a blower motor burn up. I have replaced it but cannot get it to power up. I had the part tested where I got it, and checked all fuses. It ran one time and then it quit again. I see postings about a resistor. Is this something I need to look into? Please email me at [email protected] if you have any suggestions. Thanks.

Welcome to AF.
If you have a manual climate control then it sounds like you have a bad blower motor resistor. It is located behind the blower motor. Blower motor must be removed to replace the BMR.
See tech procedure here (http://www.clubgp.com/cgi-asp/mods.asp?modid=150)

AC-Delco part number for the manual A/C resistor is 15-80571 (GM#89019101) just for reference. If you have the Auto/Climate control, it's a blower module, AC-Delco part #15-8756 (GM#52479971).

I pulled the blower motor out of mine the other day and the hardest part was disconnecting the electrical connector to the motor. The connector has a button like tab that you have to push to disengage it then you pull the connector apart. It would help if you had three hands.
