Can someone tell me (with detail) the location of the thermostat in a 1987 Toyota 4runner??? Thanks in advance!!!!

Well, it's located in the thermostat housing, of all places.

Typically, follow the top radiator hose back to the motor, and where it connects is the t-stat housing. Remove the hose, then the housing, and there's the t-stat.

Without knowing better, I would have guessed the lower radiator hose. I wonder why the upper hose on this motor?
