camaro starting problems

i have a 1991 camaro v6 3.1 engine. the problem is when i go to start the car the stater makes a click sound , one click per turn of the key. the stater has been changed numerous times and the problem goes away for awhile then it returns. can there be something killing the staters? or maybe it is something else? any help will do thanks.

Bad/dirty cable connections or broken cables. The click usually means the starter isn't get enough juice to engage.
