UK Drivers - Watch Out!

Be warned, Manchester council apparently installed some retractable bollards to stop people using the bus lanes (they retract when a bus pulls up to them), but then come back up very quickly once a bus has passed. This has led to some surprises!

Well you could see with the first car when he backs off it his car is smoking pretty bad.

I would imagine that barricade is just about in the perfect position for total radiator, oil pan and transaxle destruction.

It sure would be! But then the government would be responsible for more vehicle damage, instead of simply enforcing the law.

What I don't get is if you are not suppose to use those bus lanes and there are signs saying so, then don't get upset when you use them and that happens.

But as usual, the lawyers would have a field day with this.

in case you missed it, it is an offence to be driving in bus lanes (dependent on enforcement periods). If you are in a bus lane and get caught by one of those, you have commited an offence. I'd like to see a lawyer get out of that one.

oh i know its illegal, but i'm sure someone will file a lawsuit for "unnecessary" injuries. probably argue that a camera to catch the license plate and send home tickets is a better, safer alternative... fuking pussies. imo, this thing is the best thing to hit the roads, probably because its also so entertaining while effective.

Dang dial up I wish I could watch. I should seriously start spending less time surfing the web and more time cleaning my room so this way I'd have my own computer and cable hook up for internet and tv.
