the amp powering the smaller speakers probably wouldn't be big enough to power a sub that could increase your spl by 7 db.

that blaupunkt amp probably only puts out about 150-200 rms, plus it is a 4 channel. blaupunkt suks, mtx sucks.
you should look into one of these:
http://www.tcsounds.com/tc5200.htm
it will crush that 7500 and pretty much any other sub on the market. (just for your reference, TC Sounds makes the elite subs for eclipse, kicker, and many other high end companies. TC-5200 uses the same motor as the solo x.)

Believe me DB isnt everything, i dont stand a chance with my setup in any comps around here since they go by the amount and size of subs. If they went by either total power or amount spent id be kicking ass. If you really want 147DB you need to upgrade to a better sub, and a more powerful amp, ture power amp. AS for what i have hit i did 138 at a comp a long time ago with 2-polk EXII 12" subs from like 1996 and a profile ca400m. at half power im pushing about 75 rms to each. And i spent 100 on the subs and amp, vehicle type does play alot, as well as enclosure and brand.

tc only sells directly from their website. no mark up through a middle man:). My current setup is not very good, look at my sig. I unofficially (with a scosche spl meter from walmart) hit 134 with it in my car. No, i haven't heard that sub yet, but I will once they make it. i preordered one a couple months ago, they are waiting on parts.
