center console question

I've asked many people and nobody knows....hopefully one of you will know. I want to know, will the front part of a RHD console(shifter console) fit with the back part of a LHD console(armrest console) . I don't see why they wouldn't since they just have a couple of hooks that latch on to eachother but I just want to make sure. Thanks guys
