1997 GMC Suburban remote programming

Is there a thread on re-programming remotes for these trucks? Ours is a bit picky on what (and when) it wants to unlock and so would like to re-fresh the programming. (1997 Suburban).

When my 97 remote gets like that, I open it up and clean the battery contacts, and also the back of the rubber buttons and the printed circuit button area with a good contact cleaner.
Bought cleaner at napa.
