Electronic Odometer Display not functioning

Went through the fuse box first and the electronic odometer isn't even listed. ALL FUSES AND RELAYS IN GOOD SHAPE. This odometer is a light display and when not working, I have no idea what odometer reading is showing and cannot reset current miles. Obviously I need this information for service planning as well. Has anyone had a similar problem? All I know is that everthing in the fuse box is operational. For the record, BMW 525i.
