Wierd Problem

I have a 95 Integra LS/Non Vtec.
I replaced the clutch and flywheel with a clutchmaster stage 1 and ligthening flywheel. I also replaced the throw out bearing.
The problem is that when the car is in 1st or Reverse and you ease of the clutch and get going there is a vibration as if something was hoping, this happens for about 2-3 seconds. This was not there before the clutch change. When you are cruising the car runs fine no vibration.
Any idea what this is? I have driven the car over 175 miles since I did the clutch and flywheel.
The vibration (shudder or chatter) feels as if something is grabbing then releasing and while this is happening you feel a vibration of the grabbing and letting go. Could something be sticking when it is intially disengaging? The clutch does not slip. If so what could this be? As I metioned previously this only happens for a few seconds until it lets go I guess. When you drive and shift there is no problem at all except when going in 1st or reverse.

i would post this above in the motorhead section they will know.. but it could be anything from the pressure plate.. to the new flywheel being sensitive and you haven't adjusted correctly..
but how's the new flywheel feel, does it make a big diff?

Thanks for the advice.
The lightened flywheel does make a difference, the rev are a lot lower when cruising. I also have a larger throttle body, Nology wires, and ZEX spark plugs. I plan to get a aluminum pulley set to reduce the extra weight from the crank.

So you're cruising more slowly than you used to, eh?

ivymike has a point on that one. the gearing wasnt changed. as for the clutch hop, it happens to a lot of people that work on their cars, but i cant remember why exactly. it would seem to me that its because the spring, think its called the pressure plate, isnt strong enough to push the clutch securely against the flywheel. this cause the clutch to bounce away from the flywheel each time you try and engage it. the differences in speed between the clutch and the flywheel isnt great enough, plus the clutch is already spinning, to cause it to happen in the other gears. the low gearing of first and reverse, both of which cause the non-moving clutch to start spinning, allow for this to happen. just my theory on whats happening. someone else will hopefully fix whats wrong with what i said.

Hey I had a similar problem with my clutchmasters stage 2. My clutch chattered a lot. The problem was that the fingers on the pressure plate were bent (manufactre's defect). Your clutch can vibrate because of bent fingers on the plate or your flywheel is warped (which is not likely since it is a new flywheel). Also with a lightened flywheel you need more power to get the car rolling (it's not chattering because the engine is almost stalling is it?) If it is just a very small chatter, only when releasing the clutch pedal a little bit, that could be because it hasnt broken in yet. Thats just my thoughts, I hope it helps
