What is so bad to have low mileage in a car? What's the difference when a car has high mileage?

please give me an example..























but i think it means the lower mileage, the more time you spend putting in gas.. is that correct?

Higher mileage = more wear on all the components of the car
Lower mileage = less wear on all the components of the car

This is a broad generalization, since you have to take into account of how well the car was taken care of, but on average the above statement is true.

If you're talking about GAS milage, then low gas milage means it takes more gas to get the car places. Example: you see 18/24 MPG. this means the car gets 18 miles per gallon in the city and 24 on the highway.

If you're speeking of just plain old miles on a car, then lower milage is best because there has been less wear and tear on all the parts (engine, drivetrain, etc..)

unless the car is really old. then it is sometimes better to have a car that has a normal amount of mileage. if a car is 30 years old, but has been sitting in a garage or shed for years and years, then you can be sure that the internal parts will have degraded. if the car is being driven every day, chances are, the driver is at least changing the oil and stuff, which keeps things lubed up well.
