Speaker Mounting Depth

I have a 2003 Chevy Malibu and want to upgrade the front speakers. Does anyone know the max speaker mounting depth for the front speakers? The speakers are 4x6, but I am trying to fit larger speakers in their place.

not too sure on the depth, but if you go on crutchfield.com they have a vehicle specific search for speakers and it gives the sizes and stock matches with aftermarket speakers. good luck
