Hello everybody
After a long time this one is finally finished.
This Corvette was built and raced by Rick Hay during the 1976 IMSA Gt Camel Series.
The Kit is in 1/43 + white metal from the now gone company AMR (Andre Marie Ruf).
I was lucky to pick up one of the last for the normal price.
Modifications I have done:
-Replace the whitemetal rollcage by one soldered together with brass rods (but not much to see on the finished car).
-Replace the A-Pillars with brass rods filed to squares. They were in white metal and so very fragile and of course I broke them very soon. The brass rods are much stronger and made the handling of the body much easier.
One issue were the decals which were slightly opaque and the darker yellow ones tend to react with the clear (Finishers Autoclear). But after sanding and polishing it's OK.
Now the pictures. I hope you like it, critics and comments are welcome.

This model came out great.
I love ths picture: you know the car is wearing a body kit but you can pretty much tell what's underneath - sort of like lingerie
:naughty:

Thanks for the kind comments everybody!
By the way Rick Hay was a member of the Greenwood team before he started his own company. And so the look of his cars was quite similarly to the famous Greenwood (Lemans) Corvettes.
