transmision leak...help

ok, I have a 93 grand voyager 3.3 4 speed auto. I have a leak I cant find. I have been reading the post here and other places to get ideas where to look. I have found that most leaks are from (1) the pan seal (2) cooling lines (3) vent cap and (4) half shaft seals.
as common as the leaks are Mine is not leaking from any of those places. so I started tracking the path of the fluid. I started at the bell housing took off the dust cover .the trail leads up the inside of the bellhousing to rear of the case in between the case and the housing for the pass. side axle and speed sensor. cant see between the two but no fluid on top side. could it be the housing for the axle and speed sensor is leaking??? HELP.
realy getting tired of the mess in the drive. :banghead: P.S. speedometer only works when it wants to

How bad is the leak? Do you notice any white smoke comming from the exhaust while you are driving? It is possible for the speedometer sensor to leak if the o-ring is bad. Make sure its not mixing in the radiator with the ani-freeze... Caddy's had this problem with rebuilt radiators...

Well if is coming from inside the bell is either a bad TC seal, pump o-ring, TC cracked or worst case the case is busted. Have you gotten the van stuck or been spinning the tires a lot if so you probably busted the case. By spinning the tires only one spins most of the time this causes the spider gears in the diff to begin to seize to the pin which breaks the roll pin and then flies out and hits the case. If you have not being spinning the wheels the pump o-ring is probably hard which is common also..

as for spinning tires, I try to not beat on the van. so as for spinning tires, only the normal, snow and ice. when you break traction you let off.
as for the cracked case or bad pin. would I hear any noises? it doesnt make any noises shifts nice. it only leaks when its running. I have to ad a quart a week. if anyone can tell me how to check for a bad gear,pin,case. please let me know...or any other ideas. thanks so much

Same problem for my 97 3.3 G Voy. I thought mine is the seal of differential cover and i'm planning to do the work next month. I am still digging on some other possibilities.

Do you see any out of place dings on the Diff cover? If it only leaks when it running its very possible that the torque converter is cracked and leaking. If you spray off all the fluid with brake clean and let it sit over night is there any spots?

Chrysler has a similar problem with some A727 automatics. Too much bushing clearance here will cause it to leak, even with a good pump seal. And I don't work for Sonnax, either.

Also, if the transmission cooler & lines are restricted or plugged it can cause a leak there.

NEVER USE STOP LEAK ADDITIVES IN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS!!! Many of them contain brake fluid!! This may reduce a leak short term, but ruin all the seals later on, forcing a total overhaul.:nono:
