electronic ignition problem

what does it mean when a code 42 appears on diagnostic check. My 1995 gmc vandura van w/5.7L engine developed a miss at 40 and above speeds. I changed the distributor, cover, rotor, plugs and wires but still has the miss. runs smooth during idle and low speeds. checked all vacuum lines, but still stumped. :disappoin Hope someone can help?
