my first paycheck

Well, i finally got my first paycheck, legit money, made a shameful $156. but The Man took away about $20 of that... rat bastard. Pointless thread, sorry, just happy to have a job now, beats selling drugs.
If you wanna know, i work at Pacific Sunwear in the local mall. shit pay, shit customers, and some shit managers, but the 2 smaller managers are hilarious. (also, A LOT of hot co-workers). yeah, this job has its moments.

Hell where I'm working now is my...7th job and it's the biggest paycheck I've got...NZ$500 after tax for 40 hours work :thumbsup:

hahaha, absolutely, i need a camera for that reason alone. As far as pay goes, its worse from when i worked for the dentists' office, but i was paid off the books, tax-free paychecks. it was a long time ago, though, and i quit because of the 2hr commute. (but i was making $15/hr).
This is like, my first real real job, like, official, cuz its on the books and pays (i've volunteered and interned without pay)

ya, i get so much shit taken out its rediculous. i even get my rent taken out, plus 401k, plus 25 a week to savings, med ins 25, etc... i only see about 250 and i gross 500 a week........

The job I am starting monday, start with 700 take home. I just need to make sure it's on the books and it has benifits. I got the job so informly it isn't even funny.

I'm not into the whole surf/skate scene, really, i just like some of their styles of clothing. as for music, i can't even stand it anymore and its only been about 3 weeks. I'm not alone, though, my manager also feels like killing a customer each time Fall Out Boy or AFI comes on. (Corporate requires us to stream through PacSun's Satelite Station)

well i never said the job was awful, its not bad. just the music can be annoying. I don't like listening to music where men cry and whine and make money off of it, so strike out 60% of popular rock that's around today. how awful to have an entire genre to be tainted by immaturity and lack of talent. /rant. btw, don't you just love it when pricks cut you off in the city? how they don't realize they just cut off a big rig that isn't going to stop anytime soon, so swirving in front of them isn't the smartest thing in the world?

I think any job that has their own radio station will get stupid annoying after a while. When I worked for Home Depot, they had their own station, imagine listening to the same songs 9 hours a night for 3 months. Before I knew it, I had all the lyrics memorized and everytime they threw in a new song in there I was like "OOOOOOOOH SHIT!". Haha. The funny thing is, when the music would randomly shut off, it felt so weird, so empty, so boring...I found myself loving shitty music.

Movie gallery had music videos on each monthly trailer tape... I wound up memorizing songs from Kelly Clarkson, Ashley Simpson, Phil Collins, and the Dixie Chicks. Then I catch myself singing along to them when I hear em in public :disappoin

I only got 300 last week. Seems they fired me rehired me as a helper because one of the owner's sons wanted to get back to work. 500/wk aint bad. Took off monday to go on a job interview so 400 this week. On the other hand they are getting a brand new rig and I am getting assigned to it.
