Hello everyone,
I was wondering if someone can help me with a little problem. I managed to round the oil drain bolt on my 2005 Ford Focus SE ZX4 with a Ratchet.
1. How can I remove it. I heard I can buy a bolt remover from a auto parts store. If so what size and where? I believe it is 5/8"
2. Once I take the thing off I probably want to get a new bolt. Is there a replacement I can get at a auto parts store? Do I have to go to the dealer? Can I go to Home Depot and get the right bolt?
Thanks

Wow looks like someone likes to keep there drain plug tight. Yea most Auto parts have the replacement plug.. The dealer carries them aswell... Some bolt extractors can be pricey...so shop around. Most drain plugs now use 13 or 15 mm to remove.. What size is on the Focus...Should be a 13 or 15 right.. and most specs range from 10 ftlbs to 15 ftlbs on the drain plug...
