Compatiple Parts?

Hey everyone, I'm having a bit of an issue here...

I'm debating on buying a notchback (coupe) 240sx, but the guy says it need an alternator, brakes, and a battery. Now I don't think the brakes or battery will be an issue, but is there any difference between the alternator on the SOHC and DOHC KA24s?
