Engine Swap To efi in 83 k20

I wanted to see if anyone knows if i could put in a chevy 5.3 in my 83 k20 and if it will bolt up to a t-350 trans. Also what kind of special mods would i have to make. I understand that i would need a fuel pump and return line. I will also need a computer but will a stock one work and what connections do i have to make.

The 5.3 liter that you have suggested wouldn't happen to be a newer one would it. If it is I have a friend that has done the exact same thing that your about to do. My suggestion to you would be to buy a totaled late model truck with what want. Haul it to your garage and change everything. You'll have to splice into your existing wiring harness, if you want to keep the interior original. Don't get rid of the source vechicle until you know for sure that your done.
