Hawk HPS pads front and back
Goodridge stainless lines
Baer rear rotors as spec'd by Specialty Z
Next up, a set of MSW 12" rotors for the front.
Something about 400-something horsepower suggested a bit of a brake upgrade.

Second set of stock wheels:
http://img258.imageshack.us/img258/9094/picture141medium7fm.jpg
Soon to be wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza RE750s, sized 245/45/16 all the way around. As fun as spinning the rear wheels all the way through second gear is the increase in traction will be nice.

they look like greddy/trust intercoolers because of the thick core.
very nice buys...get a steal on the TT rear wheels for the front?

If you'll remember the Greddy's use stock ducts, these are the AshSpec Massives.
The wheels are in good condition and I only paid $180 for the set. The intercoolers are off a car with a blown motor being parted out, they're practically new and came witht the ducts and silicon hoses to hook them up for $975, which is a couple hundred off retail.

nice, thats what i thought at first but they didnt look tall enough to be the Ash Specs. i suspect you are going to do the 2.5" piping when it is available too then.

Nah, fuck that. Pulling the whole front end of the car apart to gain a 1/2" on stock pipes isn't worth it for me, I'm not planning on flowing that much air. Probably the only pipe I would replace is if I ever get around to upgrading the turbo's I'd fab up a nice smooth intake pipe for the turbo inlet. The stock piece is...less than optimal.
Oh yeah, sent the money for my 4.10 gears today, they'll be here in a few weeks.

 finally, they were on backorder forever. If you ever decided to upgrade the turbos and maniolds. 2.5" piping matched with larger TB's might be a nice "might a well" upgrade. But i do agree that with stock turbos, 2.5" piping probably would not make much of a difference.
so what is next on the upgrade list after the gears come in? decided?

It wasn't so much back order as it was they were sold out. Then it took a bit for enough people to get signed on for the second order and then they had to be made...so and so forth.
Tires are next, I'm going to get the wheels spun this weekend to check for any problems and probably order the tires next week. After that is going to be an air/fuel controller so I can hook up the second MAF I bought and finally be rid of the idle problems I've had. I've thought about buying a Zemulator but it doesn't support dual MAFs that I know of so I'd have to buy the AFC anyway. The only step up from there that I know of is the AEM EMS and thats a bit pricey (as if that meant anything any more). A set of test pipes is going to be going on at some point. Then it will probably be mostly suspension work and some small stuff like a 1 piece driveshaft or water injection. Replace all the bushings in the rear sub-frame while I have the differential out, probably do the front at the same time. Likely going to get a set of shocks and springs though I haven't really decided on what to get. After that I really don't know. Maybe sometime next year I'll pull the engine and get some MS Manifolds and new turbos but I don't really see the need right now.

i hear ya...seems like a good mod list and i figured you would be going after some suspension work before the turbos, manifolds, etc.
i think i will just be happy to have my car back and reliable if it ever happens. seems the motor is done and i should be taking the car up to have finished over the next week or so. hopefully, i will have no problems and i will be able to purchase my new bike next summer. i kinda gave up on the fast car thing after owning a sport bike. for the money it would take to purchase all the hardware for a big build i could own a liter bike that will destroy anything but a fellow liter bike. i just want my sporty 12 second capable car and i will save the performance for the motorcycle.

Given that I spun the rears at 70 this morning going up an on ramp it's good thing these came in:
http://img455.imageshack.us/img455/20/picture183mediumrt4.jpg
http://img176.imageshack.us/img176/6741/picture187mediumij3.jpg
Even more so because of what else came in:
Any guesses?
http://img455.imageshack.us/img455/7474/picture193mediumga4.jpg
I opened the box and gazed upon a ring and gear set sculped by the hands of angels. As I grasped the gears, I felt an unearthly power take hold of me. Visions of tire smoke and neck snapping acceleration rushed through my mind. There was no doubt this was the one ring (and pinion) to rule them all.

Don't get too excited. The tires on my Z right now are cheap H rated stuff and the rears are just about worn down to nothing.
On another note, the Apexi SAFCII I picked up off the classifieds (new in the box for $100 off retail) came in as did a bunch of Z collector stuff (Car and Driver "Guide to the new Z", original 1992 Z dealership brochure, some posters, etc) that I bought off a guy selling his Z and a pair of test pipes (new, paid $134.50 shipped) is in the mail somewhere between Missouri and Washington.

 I spun through second today on brand new tires and cold but yet dry road. Caught me by surprise, usually only spins as soon as hit boost and then catches again.
