I have a 03 grand am and my blower moter is not blowing any air out into my car. The seting 1-5 do not work. This happend about two years ago and I took it to the dealer and got it fixed. They told me I needed new resistors and a new blower motor. So I got them replaced. about a year later settings 1-4 went out so I only had the high speed that would blow air. Now the high setting went out as well. I have a hard time believing that it is the blower motor again. And I think the dealership took me for a ride the first time. if you have any ideas what it might be that would be great. could it be a fuse or resistors.
Thanks

definately try the fuses, I know that older cars had the high setting fused seperately from the other speeds and it sounds like yours is as well since the high speed continued to work.

Logged on and this was the 1st post and weird cause that was what just happened to my car. Blower motor working fine and was on high and I shut car off and came back 4min later and started car and blower was not working. I hadn't touched anything. So I turned it off and pulled fuse and fuse was fine. Could it be a relay or how do I check the blower motor? '93 grand am, 2.3L SOHC with ac. Please help, I'm snowed in with power outages and this was my only heat yesterday. Thanks

Well how you likin' that. Opened hood and lifted up wiring harness to heater blower and firewall plug(looks in new condition without tears or worn places) and it was pretty frozen and stiff but I just lifted it up and stretched it a bit and went into car and turned blowere motor on and it works perfect. Thanks you...thanks.

wt_firefighter, when the fan isnt working on the low setting then its usually the resisitor which is behind the blower motor.
If the blower fans not working at all, then after you check the fuses check the motors plug-in.
Pop the kick panel off on the passengers side floor, below the glovebox, three 5.5 or 7mm scrwews. Cant miss the blower the plugs are behind.
If they are connected then your motor or relay could be out again. Does seem odd, the replacements are usually much better and last longer.
bjobotts, you should start your own post instead of highjacking this one, which is dealing with a totally different system then your 93'.
