Soft Clutch?

Hello,
I'll start out by admitting that I am virtually car illiterate.
The car I'm dealing with is a 1992 V6 ford Ranger.
As I was entering my driveway today I started to push in the clutch petal. As I was pushing it in it felt like it gave out and pushed in all the way with no resistance, and did not get out of gear. Now if I push in the petal it provides virtually no resistance and will not let me out of gear.
If anyone knows what may cause this please let me know.
Thanks in advance,
Max

check the fluid, try rebleeding the whole system. If not, the clutch is probably done for.

Probably leak(s) at clutch master cyl.,slave cyl., or line.

To replace the slave cylinder you have to pull the transmission. If you do this replace the clutch at the same time unless you have a lot of energy.
