Glad to see things are going well for you. I start a job monday. Driving a waste oil truck. All I have to do is drive the truck.

Academy training is three weeks long. I'm about 10 miles away from Florida State University and I'll just say that Tuesday "cheap wing" night at BW3's (Buffalo Wild Wings) was well worth the drive:popcorn: !!!:eek: Chicks were all over the place at first and then they REALLY started to come into the place!!!:sunglasse :sunglasse I know I'm married but hey, I still have working eyes!!:icon16: :grinyes: :naughty: . The training is taking a lot of getting used to because it's like starting college all over again. There are a couple of "Sergeant Slaughter" types here that I could do without but I'm just trying to make the best of it. I promise to be one of the good ones since there are so many bad ones out there:sunglasse . My '91 Bonneville made the trip down (1,117 miles) without nary a problem!!:iceslolan I have limited access to the 'net but I'll be back before too long!! God bless & take care all!!:sunglasse T7.

In Florida if you work anywhere in the criminal justice system you have to be certified by an accredited law enforcement school; once I'm certified then I'll have the option of going anywhere from working with adjudicated youth to Florida highway patrol to a prison guard to probation or anything else I'd like to do in the field:) . I enjoy working with the kids so I plan to be here for a while. We need to remember that today's kids are tomorrow's adults so whatever I can do to facilitate their transition from troubled youth to responsible adult I'm more than willing to do.:grinyes:
