Just wanting to get everyones opinion on which one they prefer. I drove my friend's 97 Prelude the other day, and noticed the big power change when the VTEC kicked in, but not for sure on the 5300 RPM thing. Anyways, just getting your opinions on which one you like.

Whoa....Be nice. Most people prefer vtec, also most vtec engines were designed with performance in mind so that helps there case as well.

Ouch sackerius, ummm, did that really need to be said? Hell, if I had a $ for every repeat question I'd seen on these forums... I wouldn't be driving a Civic ;)
Anyway, I'm biased - VTEC all the way :)

I rather have large displacement DOHC. But then again all the performance VTECs are DOHC VTECs.

Sackerius, I did not ask everyone's opinion about the thread, I just asked to see what everyone prefers, VTEC or non-VTEC. I know it is a repeat question, but also I just want to see what everyone has to say about each one.
Thank you guys, who have answered so far.

and sackerius, i totaly agree with you. this messag board used to be informative now you see like 10 posts a day that say something along the lines of...
uh, i just bought a 90 crx. what motor can i put in it??
or
what motor should i get, a d16z6 or a b16a
for real. there are about 20 other posts you can get your information on, you do not have to start a new thread. Or maybe, you could use whats called a "search engine" and look for the information for youself instead of being lazy and just making another duplicate post.
