how much is too much

So a friend of mine gave me one of her friends cell phone numbers (i met her at a party but didn't get her number there) and i called it today but didn't get an answer or an answering machine (or voicemailbox) so i was just wondering how often would be too much. not sure if she has call display to see missed calls but i dont want to seem like some creepy stalker or desparate.

You've already crossed the line with calling her when she didn't even give you her number. If you call more than once, you're a weirdo. Just leave it, if she calls you back, good. If not, then don't worry about it.

Plus, I'm sure her friend has already told her she gave you her number, so she's expecting the call. Whether she answers or not is up to her.

well the thing is that i didn't hit an answering machine, i kinda let it ring, then after about 7 rings (i know some ppl with 6 ring answering machines) i hung up, so to answer your question no, i didn't leave my number, if i did then i would just sit back and wait.

oh...you didnt. well...call again tomorrow afternoon or late evening, like you have a life. and wait for something to pick up. until like 10 rings happen or something.

for anyone who cares i got in touch with her last night on my way to a party (figured i might as well give it a shot since it'd be one of the last chances i'd have to do anything before exams and studying start) so we went on a date tonight and it went pretty well.
