The BCS system sucks, same old teams playing each other and losing the interest of the rest of the country. if there was a legitement playoff system the top ten would turn over by 50% each year and the smaller programs would get a boost in recruiting. about time for some new blood.

My friends talk about the samething every year.
SO basically in order to be a national champ you have to go undefeated? So what about a strength of a schedule. that doesn't alway determine who exactly is a 1 and 2 team. Look at the Indy colts.........

football is the only collegiate sport without a playoff system. 5 weeks now untill the bowl game, lots of time for some playoff action. i'm going into withdrawal already.

USC loses... accord smiles :grinyes: The only thing that makes me like the BCS is the joy I get when stuff like this happens and their world comes crashing down on top of them

typical BCS BS tonight, no real national champion. three huge upsets in five major bowls proving all the computers wrong and the only undefeated team is stuck at the bottom of the list.

Boise may not be national champs, but they are America's team based on tv ratings, sales of gear, and offers on the movie rights. about time for a real playoff system.

While I see your point, I don't think Boise could hang with the big boys in a playoff. They beat Oklahoma, big whoop, Oklahoma was just a meh team anyways. Plus, it was pretty much their ONLY challenging game of the season. If after Oklahoma they had to play LSU, USC, and then Florida they wouldn't stand a chance. :2cents:

Good to see a new challenging team on the horizon though.

I wouldn't say "meh" but I don't think they're on the same level as Florida, Michigan, Ohio State, USC, or LSU. They are a good team but I think it'll take them another year to get back to that level.

THOROUGHLY DISAPPOINTED with last nights game. Not just because OSU lost, but because they played like girls (no offense ladies ;) )

51 day break, no Teddy G, whatever... they got their asses handed to em by a much better prepeared, much hungrier, much more physical UF squad. Congrats to UF for a game well played.

I didn't really care who one, even though I'm a FSU fan, I was pulling for the Gators simply because everyone was talking about how OSU was gonna run the board on them.

I keep hearing these excuses about the 51 day break, but it's no excuse. They should have been practicing just like regular the whole time. They went soft.

I'm most upset at the fact that ever since I came to school in florida (Aug 2001) EVERY major televised sport has been won by a floridian team

NFL- Tampa 2001
MLB- Marlins 2004 (and beat my beloved Cubbies in the process :( )
NBA- Heat 2005-06
NHL- Lightning 2005 (maybe it was 04?)
NCAAB- Florida 2006
NCAAF- Florida

and every time a florida team wins I have to hear about it from guys at school about how great they are and how much Chicago (and the rest of the country in general) sucks
