radio and clock turned off

I have a 99 avalon and my wife said that when she put the car in reverse the radio shut off and won't come back on. Has anyone else had this problem?

everything else works like the cruise and ect button. The clock, temp guage and radio won't work.

Have you checked all the fuses? Does the radio still keep time, or is that out also?

Our car dvd player shorted out the cig lighter and blue a fuse. I will have to buy some more fuses and see if that fixes everything. I bet it will. Thanks for your advice.
