I was driving for a while then my car would jerk when it shifted.. I wasnt doing anything to make it act up, it just started on its own. I parked the car, went into the grocery store and when I got back in it to drive home it worked fine. What could be causing this? and what should i do before it gets worse and i end up having to replace the tranny or something?

Looks like you have the symptom of a flaky PCS solenoid. Jerking or harsh shifting due to high line pressure. Best thing to do is get it scanned and see if DTC of P1811 (Max Adapt, Long Shift) shows up. Does not trigger the SES light but is stored. Normally just replacement of the PCS solves the problem.

How many miles do you have? Also, when was the last tranny service...ATF and screen filter?

I have 135,219km (84,511mi) The last tranny service was (supposedly) when I bought it in May. I plan on getting one next time I get an oil change which is in a couple weeks, but looks like im gonna get that done tomorrow.

I am also having problems with jerky shifting on a 1995 Grand Prix 3.1 liter. Would the PCS also cause the car to not downshift at the right time? My car will upshift and when I slow down it won't downshift at the right time causing it to want to push the car against braking. And if I slow down and then hit the gas it feels like a manual transmission when you are in too high of a gear.
