What you are thinking of is being a tuner. If you need to ask what that is, then you cannot be it. That is all.

no by tranny work he meant no-lift shifting. it really works out the tranny good, its actually really good practice to keep the syncros clean so they last longer. :bigthumb:

i think the only tuning of anything you should be doing is tuning the tv to the next channel.

but if you are real serious, you can go into UTI or Wyotech, 2 year program, and you'll basically know how to to almost everything from repairs, to tuings air/fuel maps.

Actually just buy and Eclipse. stupid cars break so often you will be a trianed mechanic in no time. Then you moddify the eclipse so that it breaks again but now you are repairing modded parts and you become a trained tunner!

simple eh?

Lol, that's a great anology to give someone who's new to what looks like the whole "automotive" World... For all you know he'll end up taking your advice and blame everything on you... ...Or... You could become famous... :icon16:

I was dead serious though. I've owned 4 Eclipses and they all break so damn often. Ive had two with crankwalk, one sold and currently own a 98. Its broken 3 times in 30 days and cost me over 400 bucks since the 1st of November.

If you give me the parts I can put one together in 3 days!
I learned how to fix and tune shit from having to do it so often on my cars.
