Had a bad Thanksgiving weekend. On my way home my rear differential exploded. My problem is it will take up to 3 weeks to get a new one. I was wondering if it is possible to pull the rear drivetrain out and run with just FWD. Are there going be computer or sensor problems? Main concern would be computer problems. Any advice or directions to complete this are appreciated.

If you can disconnect the rear wheels from the differential you shouldn't have any problems. If this can't be done leave it parked. Why don't you check car-part.com to see if you can find a used one at a wrecking yard in your area. It may save you a lot of waiting and money.

I have been driving it now for over a week. I have no error codes. I cut the clamp for the boot at the outer cv joint. So I still have ABS (sensor on Joint). The night I completed it was snowing ABS still worked and traction was fine with no noises trying to engage rear axle.
