98 gmc jimmy wont start

i put a new engine in it and now it wont start it does nothing it doesnt even crank over. i turn the key and the radio goes out and the compass goes out. and nothing. i tested the celinoid and its good and the ignition switch is good. i am stuck at there is no power going to the celinoid wire when i turn the key. the constant is always on but the little one doesnt get anything. i need help please

This sounds like a possible ground issue. Take a good look at the grounds, specifically the ground strap to the engine. Sounds like a ground problem. Also make sure your battery is fully charged too. Good Luck!
