This has been the best product I've ever put on my machine.
Go to cnet and get a copy of ad-aware. That'll find any spyware on your machine.

I know it's not spyware, I just ran ad-aware last night and cleared anything, besides, the title bar already fixed itself.
Anyways, back to the point of the thread, what wierd things have happened on your computer?
Last time I installed Fallout 2, the icon for the program showed up as a bearded man that I'd never seen before. The icon is supposed to be either the Fallout cartoon character or a radioactive symbol, I can't remember...either way it wasn't supposed to be a bearded man. The next day it changed to the proper icon and I haven't seen the bearded man since. I did printscreen the icon though...

I've had some bizzare screen resizing happen whiile using ATIs tv monitor (older card). The screen would change from 1150 X 860 to 600X 400 and back a few times when I closed the app. That happened in windows 95.

My icons occasionaly change their picture too. My Excell files show the IE symbol etc.
Also once every month or so my pc boots up in 640*480 instead of 1200*1024.
The most random thing though is my pc destroyed DirectX somehow, one day it was working now its not.

Actually the teacher was really freaked out. He yelled at everyone to leave the room, then he pulled the fire alarm, which made the entire college evacuate. There wasnt any real need for this. It could have simply be dealt with by pulling the plug on it, and then using a fire extingusher on it, or covering it with a fire blanket.

In the dark ages (before Windows) we used to lift the covers off the Macintosh SE's in the CompSci Lab and alter the eject settings on the floppy drives. When you dragged your floppy disk to the trash can to eject it - it would whirr and pop out with enough force to shoot out about three feet out the front of the Mac.
We also did other stupid things like get all the terminals attached to the DEC mini-computer in the Business Computing Lab to beep a tune around the room continously during lab time, create worms on the VAX server in the EngComp Lab that went around in endless loops (and thus generate massive CPU usage bills on a supervisor's account after we had a dispute over the appropriate use of the VAX).
And also when I worked in Asia the machine room I had been working in with several other people thought it had a fire in it and activated the automated Halon Gas Fire Extinguishing system. This required some very rapid evacuation as Halon Gas extinguishes a fire by removing all the free oxygen in the room preventing combustion... and also respiration too... as I ran for the door two of my co-workers asked me why I was in such a hurry... I think I said something along the lines of they had 30 seconds to leave or they'd be dead...

My computer is TANGERINE colored!!! Ahhhh!!!!

But my Zip100 drive won't eject from the button the machine, so I have to command&Delete all my disks out... and whenever I alter the speed of my desk fan to low, my printer resets...

We thought the title was a little odd, but then we read the message, and it said "Error asking program to die!"

When I was in junior high, they installed some "computer labs" which were networked Macintosh SE's. Since it was the schools first experience with this, there were lots of little loopholes in their security.
We learned that from any computer on this network, you could print to any printer in the building... My brother had given me a disk of images of naked women, and I took it to school, called up an image, and sent 100 copies to the printer in the main office...
Also, at the same school, I was a TA, and I had access to the copier room. Anywho, went in the copy room (again with a picture of a naked woman), and photocopied about 200 copies of it onto some plain paper. Then, I took the stack of naked women, flipped it over, and put it back in the paper-tray for the copier. I never did see the results of this myself, but there was alot of talk around the school about a teacher who had handed out a bunch of worksheets with naked women on the back of them. :D
And, if anyone remembers "Hypercard" for the Mac's, I actually made a hypercard virus once... :sun:
As far as weird stuff on my computer:
I used to have a set of amplified bookshelf speakers hooked up to mine, and every once in a while, they would briefly pick up CB radio signals from truckers and whatnot. These signals would get amplified really loud, so I'd be sitting there at my desk and all of a sudden, I'd hear some trucker yelling out of my speakers. Used to scare the crap outta me.
My home computer crashes all the time, so it's constantly doing all sorts of weird stuff... hard to be specific.
