put 35 inch tires on 2004 f150 with auto trans told i would need to buy proformance chip to recalbrate trans and engine for speedo too is this correct

as far i know, no. you can recalibrate speedos for different tyre rolling circumfrences. i think the performance chip thing is people trying to get more money out of you.
