mini rims

has anyone had trouble with rims leaking. I have been told by a tire shop that i have a bad rim.

The only issue I've had is my wife hit a pothole and bent the rim so bad it couldn't keep the bead on the tire. Had to replace the rim. Judging by the pothole, it probably shouldn't have damaged the rim as bad as it did....
