Ok, so I'm filling up a tire which is a bit low at a gas station. I finish up and see/hear a Cobra take off down the street....FAST. I hop in teh car and tear out of the gas station. Well, I tore to the exit of the gas station, at which point I was blocked by 8 million oncoming cars. I finally get a break in traffic and whip out after him, but doubting I'll have any luck finding him.

Sure enough he's nowhere to be seen, so I slow shift to 4th and slow down to 55ish. Next thing I know, I'm minding my own business and some '06 civic Si paces me and revs it up. He takes off, I give it some gas, get even and pace him to 85ish, all the while never downshifting. Around 85mph, I decide I want the left lane, and I also don't want him going home to brag to anybody that he kep up with a vr4. So I got on it and left him behind. So yeah, I had an entire race in one gear. :grinno: What can I say...he started it :screwy:

That reminds me of highschool. I had a friend with a 87 Foxbody with a fair amount of modifications, we would go down the street and race the local pack of civics that cruised down there. It was all stoplight to stoplight and that mustang started in 2nd gear and stayed there. Those were the days.

Nice race lol. I had that happen to me once too, my friend had an old 4.0 jeep and we raced from 55 and i only let it drop to 3rd which means i was only at about 2/3 throttle and 2700rpm and i still beat him, my god that thing was old and slow:lol:
